Remember Mom with Bart Estate

Looking for a few last minute, easy ideas to treat mom this Mother’s Day?  We’ve got you covered! Stop by Bartholomew Estate Winery this weekend and pick up a special duo of estate wines made from our certified organic vineyard – 2019 Antonia’s Garden Rosé of Zinfandel and 2019 Estate Sauvignon Blanc. Save 20% on this two-bottle collection, at the winery only, on May 7th – 9th.  We will have them chilled, ready to enjoy in Bartholomew Park, or you can take them with you to gift or crack open at home. You can also choose from a selection of gifts in our store.

Overall, Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc are such fresh and versatile wines that you can truly enjoy throughout the day.  You’ve likely heard of “Rosé All Day,” well we think there’s a case for “Sauv Blanc All Day” too! Here are a few suggestions for Mother’s Day…or any day.

BRUNCH

Whether it is breakfast in bed or a small gathering, both our Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc pair beautifully with your favorite morning fare.  At its simplest – eggs, toast and fried potatoes – Sauvignon Blanc’s high-acid, citrus and tropical notes are a delightful complement.  Add our Antonia’s Garden Rosé to the table and serve a decadent eggs benedict or a quiche and really let the pairings shine. Top it all off with a basket of warm scones and light dollop of fresh strawberry jam!

PICNIC LUNCH

Nothing says picnic like a refreshing, easy-sipping wine and both our Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc check the box. Bring on the cheese and charcuterie board, or a selection of salads, Thai lettuce wraps and deli sandwiches. Hint: Sauvignon Blanc + goat cheese and Rosé of Zinfandel + Havarti and you will not go wrong.

APPETIZERS

Again, we love our cheese and wine pairings. You can fancy it up with a quick visit with the cheese monger at your favorite grocery. Always a hit are Humboldt Fog aged chevre, burrata, and Cambozola. Other simple, yet delicious hors d’oeuvres, are prosciutto wrapped melon bites, fresh and grilled oysters, hummus with pita, and even chips, salsa and guacamole can work!

DINNER

You are already earning brownie points if you are cooking dinner for mom! Here are a few dishes to serve. Tortellini with pesto and fried chicken are great choices with Sauvignon Blanc, as is this couscous salad on our recipe page. Also, check this Baked Salmon with Hoisin Glaze recipe we are pairing with our Rosé of Zinfandel. Veggie burgers, Mexican street corn and grilled veggie skewers are a nice, light alternatives for both wines.

DESSERT

A sweet thought at the end of the day, a selection of simple treats to pair with Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc. Put together a tray of little bite-sized delights – chocolate dipped strawberries, madeleines, mini lemon cakes and fruit tartlets.
